We’ve all heard the old saying that one man’s trash is another treasure, and now Barbara de Vries is putting it to the test. The jewelry designer has collected plastic refuse from Bahamas beaches and used it to decorate Loomstate T-shirts for a new limited edition collection.
You wouldn’t expect that discarded litter could look so stylish adorning a T-shirt, but de Vries has the sort of fashion eye few of us are blessed with. The trash actually looks a little like beads strung around the necks of the tees. It’ll certainly make a good conversation starter, which is a great way of getting that environmental message out there.
I love bikinis. My favorite place to shop for bikinis is Amazon. You'll find on Amazon a great variety of high quality bikinis. Many of them from recognized brands.
There's one that has become my favorite, which is the ESONLAR Women's Sexy Plunging V Neck Bathing Suit. Mainly because it feels so smooth and soft and how well it flatters the body.
But there's 2 other ones that are great alternatives, the HYPERFIRE Women's Sexy Criss Cross Halter Bathing Suit and the CUPSHE Women's One Piece Swimsuit Sexy Deep V Neck Bathing Suit.
In keeping with the fashion collection’s eco-friendly ethos, each T-shirt is crafted from sustainable organic cotton.
If you’d like to take these pieces of debris back to the beach next summer, look for the Loomstate x Plastic is Forever shirts at the Loomstate website and Barneys New York stores next spring.
