Betsey Johnson’s famous Marilyn Monroe motif has gone pink this month to raise awareness for breast cancer.
This limited edition Breast Cancer Awareness Tote spreads the word about this endemic disease with Betsey Johnson’s trademark good humor. The hot pink Marilyn Monroe print really pops against the black background, and there’s enough space inside for a fluffy beach towel, flip flops, and your favorite glossy mag. There aren’t a lot of compartments though so you probably wouldn’t use it as an everyday tote, but for a day on the sand it’s ideal.

This section of the Iris Cantor Women’s Health Center at New York Presbyterian Hospital is particularly important for Betsey, as she was treated here for breast cancer in 2002.
Given the significance of the charities, it’s disappointing that Betsey doesn’t disclose exactly how much they’ll receive. Honestly, given how much they’ve both helped her couldn’t she have parted with all the proceeds?
