The pink-heavy pattern is tailor made for girly girls. While it’ll probably polarize opinion, I love the vibrant mix of animal prints and florals. It’s so playful, and as it’s a reinterpretation of some classic patterns it shouldn’t date either.

This tankini is much more conservative than many of Fantasie’s swim tops. While the label’s bikinis typically allow the ample curves of its plus-sized customers to shine, this tankini hides them away. In fact, unless you knew what sizes the tankini comes in you probably wouldn’t even notice the model’s banging body.
It’s an unusual tactic from the label which usually celebrates the bodies of its curvy clientele. Its sexy swimsuits gave Fantasie a point of difference in the plus-sized marketplace. I suppose this more conservative design might capture the imagination of self-conscious sun lovers, but I feel it’s at the cost of Fantasie’s creative vision.
Admittedly this Puerto Rico tankini delivers the support plus-sized girls need, but so what? Other plus-sized labels do the same thing, so I feel like I’ve seen it all before. Despite its relatively affordable $88 price tag, the Puerto Rico seems like a waste of great fabric.
