It’s not quite as instant as its name would lead you to believe, but the Insta Dry sheds water once you emerge from the waves. In just a few minutes you’ll have a bone dry wetsuit ready to pack away.

We wouldn’t be impressed if the Insta Dry didn’t perform in the water, but it holds its own here too. It’s made from 3 mm thick neoprene, which retains its thickness and insulates better than many other wetsuit materials. It’s lined with a special anti-microbial fabric which inhibits bacterial growth, a great feature for anyone who packs their suit away during winter.
The Insta Dry is very snug and a bit difficult to get on and off, but that inconvenience helps ensure water doesn’t seep in. Once it’s in place though it’s very comfortable to wear, especially thanks to its adjustable collar. It’s not as flexible as its competitors though, which can take some getting used to.
At $335.99 though, this is a very expensive wetsuit. Its quality helps to justify that price, but you’ll need to be a regular surfer to see value here.
