15-year-old Kendall Jenner is the new face of Australian swimsuit label White Sands. The teen better known as Kim Kardashian’s little sister steps out from her famous sibling’s shadow in this advertising campaign.
The ad doesn’t have the vivaciousness we expect from a swimwear campaign, but there’s a gentle beauty to the images, which were shot in Los Angeles in July. Jenner looks a bit like a mythical water nymph as she models White Sands’ maillot one-pieces, flowery bikinis, and caftan cover-ups.

White Sands designer Leah Madden said the company chose Jenner as she captured the two sides of the swimwear collection, its gentle etherealness and its feminine power.
“As we were casting for the campaign we came across Kendall’s portfolio and loved her softness and strength,” she told People magazine. “She actually made it to the top of our list before we knew her background!“
Kendall Jenner is certainly carving out her own path these days. She made her runway debut at New York Fashion Week last month, and Madden says she’s as natural in front of the camera as she is on the catwalk.
While White Sands didn’t choose Kendall Jenner for her profile, it’s not going to do the label any harm. The young model pocketed a few of the brand’s swimsuits for herself and her sisters, and once the paparazzi snap the Kardashians wearing them everyone will want one.
We can all indulge in the new White Sands collection when it hits swimwear stores around the world in March.
