Lucky Brand refuses to bow to fads with its classic pair of Vinyl Sunglasses.
Despite its name, these shades aren’t made with vinyl at all. Instead they’re crafted from zylonite, a plastic prized for its durability. While it’s strong it doesn’t look quite as smart as a metal frame. However that material compromise sees these sunglasses priced at just $88, far less than their luxury counterparts. That’s exceptional value for prescription-ready frames.

While Lucky Brand has skimped on the materials it hasn’t forgotten what matters. The lenses have a protective UV coating which will protect eyes from the sun’s harmful rays.
Perhaps the vinyl name doesn’t refer to what’s made the sunglasses, but their retro vibe. However unlike vinyl records, I predict these shades will stay in style for many seasons. With only a subtle logo stamped near the left ear, there’s nothing to date these classic shades.
The Vinyl Sunglasses are available in a few color combinations, but this black frame is my favorite. I love the pop of personality that the purple lenses give the design. However not everyone can wear black. The bold color can look far too harsh against pale skin. The brown framed alternative, with its brown lenses, will probably suit more skin tones but it doesn’t have quite the same flair.
