Ralph Lauren reminds us that a sarong need not be just a scrap of material. The American fashion house takes this beach staple to the next level with its Paradise Island skirt.
This skirt is truly luxurious, from its 100% silk body to its cosmopolitan multicolored stripes. Its style looks like a wrap-around, but this is actually a very clever illusion. Instead the Paradise Island is far less fiddly, but it’s got all the good looks of this classic style. I really like the A-line style and the smart tie at the waist which creates those soft drapes. It’s almost like something a Grecian goddess might wear, although you don’t need a heavenly figure to pull it off.

There's one that has become my favorite, which is the ESONLAR Women's Sexy Plunging V Neck Bathing Suit. Mainly because it feels so smooth and soft and how well it flatters the body.
But there's 2 other ones that are great alternatives, the HYPERFIRE Women's Sexy Criss Cross Halter Bathing Suit and the CUPSHE Women's One Piece Swimsuit Sexy Deep V Neck Bathing Suit.
The attention to detail really is superb. The acetate lining gives the Paradise Island a luxurious finish, and its stitches are of the highest quality. However, perhaps those little perks aren’t surprising. Ralph Lauren really had to include them if he was ever to convince us to spend $159 on this cover-up!
That’s a lot of money to spend on a skirt that doesn’t really gel with the relaxed beach lifestyle. As it’s made of silk it’ll show creases if it’s stuffed inside a beach bag. You’ll also need to dry clean it, rather than self-launder, if it begins to show stains. I love the look, but the realities of this Paradise Island skirt may be another matter!
