I’m not sure whether the fashion house really sewed every pleat into this swimsuit by hand. Something tells me that it likely fell off the factory line for this price. However when a swimsuit is as well made as this one, perhaps it doesn’t matter how the pleats got there. Their presence is the most important thing. They’re dramatic and daring, and a great enhancement to the twisted design. Similar bandeau styles have been swimwear staples for years, but that shirring makes the design feel fresh and modern.

The green color furthers Robin Piccone’s cause. She calls it emerald, but it’s got much bluer overtones than the semi-precious gemstone. Whatever you call it, the hue is youthful and contemporary. Who said it’s not easy being green?
The Hand Sewn Pleats bikinis looks drew me in, but its practical features make it a keeper. There are molded cups in the bust to enhance our figures, and a detachable halter strap for versatility. When it place it’ll prevent an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction in the waves. Once you’re dry, remove it for a much sexier look.
